As a kid, I was such a HUGE fan of Indiana Jones and Han Solo, that, even as an adult, I have a difficult time seeing him interviewed as Harrison Ford.  Ford seems like a nice-enough guy, but if he isn’t Jones or Solo, or specifically talking about those two characters, I just don’t care what he has to say, especially since he seems so socially awkward and confused in situations like with Conan, which is the total opposite of his cool and in-control persona from those films.  In some ways, it seems like hearing him speak actually kills part of my childhood.

In fact, a few years ago, when Ford was shooting Indiana Jones 4 in New Haven, which is only a few minutes from my home in CT, I refused to go see the taping.  Why?  Why do I want to see behind the curtain, and make real what I already know is fake?  I never went, and I’m glad I never went.
