I wore these batting gloves during High School baseball, because I idolized Rickey Henderson, who was rocking these at the time while with the A’s.

Typically, I am pretty reserved and patient, very pragmatic, but I was a lunatic when I played baseball.  I led the league in ejections each year of our local Babe Ruth league.  I’m not proud of this, but I’m also not ashamed.  I loved stealing bases, taunting the opposition, throwing at batters and arguing with umpires and the other team’s coaches, all in an effort to fire up my teammates and distract the opposition.  I was always able to stay focused and execute, no matter how much I misbehaved… and so I used it to my advatange.

In other words, these gloves have a LOT of memories.
